Closed doorway
This blog is, you may have noticed, no longer being updated.
Yes yes, stop crying, the eight of you that read it. I’m sure you’ll find somewhere else to read all the things nobody else would say about Scottish media outlets for fear of being blackballed and/or burning all their bridges.
In fact, you still can. For while this False Doorway has, for now, been closed, a new one has opened up over at The Drum. Indeed, you might notice the little widget to your right, which pulls in the latest posts from the media magazine’s website.
And that’s where, from now on, I’ll be doing the majority of my media blogging. It’ll still be as angry as the pieces I used to write on here – hell, why stop burning bridges now – but who knows, people might actually pay attention to my rantings.
No, I don’t believe that either.
After much to-ing and fro-ing, I’ve decided to leave this blog – the old False Doorway – in situ for the forseeable future, as an archive to some of the stuff I’ve covered. Many of those issues have already been touched on in my Drum column, and will be covered in more and fresher detail in future.
So thank you to everyone who’s read this blog, left nice (or less than nice) comments over the last few months, and generally been supportive (or insulting behind my back).
And of course, you can still read my non-journalism related rantings over at The Thumbcast or at my Fear and Loathing Tumblr.
But for now, good night – and good luck.
